Product Introduction
The KDS Kitchen Display System helps kitchens work more efficiently, reduce mistakes, and keep food preparation organized. By improving the flow from order intake to food preparation, it supports better service quality and a smoother customer experience.
Key benefits include:
- Real-time information sync: Front-of-house orders are synchronized with the kitchen, making order status more transparent.
- Smart alerts and management: The system can remind staff about overdue orders, added items, rush requests, and returned items.
- Higher serving efficiency: Electronic kitchen display helps reduce missed tickets and dropped orders.
- Digital operations: Paper tickets are moved to electronic screens, simplifying kitchen workflows and helping restaurants turn tables faster.
When a KDS device is placed at the food pass mainly for checking dish progress, use it this way:
- No printer setup is required: The KDS displays electronic orders directly, reducing the need for paper tickets. This improves efficiency, lowers operating costs, and is more environmentally friendly.
- No serving-operation permission on this page: Staff at the food pass can view order status and progress, but cannot mark dishes as completed, cancel orders, or edit order contents. This keeps kitchen and pass-station responsibilities clearly separated and reduces accidental operations.
- Other functions are the same as the kitchen KDS workflow: Apart from the restrictions above, the pass-station KDS keeps the standard display functions, including:
- Real-time updates: New orders and order changes are shown immediately.
- Priority sorting: Orders can be sorted by rules such as order time or dish complexity.
- Status tracking: Staff can see preparation status and identify dishes that are nearly ready or need urgent attention.
In this setup, KDS is mainly used to monitor and coordinate the journey from kitchen preparation to the customer's table, keeping service smooth and efficient.
